 Momentum is excited to announce the 2007 Skidmore Prize Winners - truly outstanding individuals who are making Portland a better place.
The Skidmore Prize program is a community involvement initiative sponsored and administered by Momentum. The Skidmore Prize is intended to recognize and encourage long-term commitment to the non-profit sector and to inspire others to get involved. Winners are selected via an application and interview process from the following categories: Animals, the Arts, Community, the Environment, Health, Schools, Social Welfare, and Youth. Skidmore Prize winners receive a one-time cash grant in recognition of their achievements.
Recipients of the Skidmore Prize must meet the following qualifications:
- 35 years old or younger
- Work full-time (30 hrs a week or more) for their non-profit
- Have been full-time at the organization for at least one year
- Be commited to a continued career path in the non-profit sector
- Have an income of less than $35,000 per year
